Goodbye, 2010! Hello, 2011!

We only thought 2010 had a lot of changes for us!  This coming year will have even more.  A new baby, a new home, a new city, a new job, and who knows what other new things, but we couldn't be more excited!

We wish you all a very happy new year!!

They are just so deprived...

Our poor babies haven't gotten much face time on the blog lately.  In fact, I felt kind of bad after I designed and had our Christmas cards printed and realized the pups weren't in a single picture on them!  We only had 1 picture out of the ENTIRE year that included both of us and the dogs (and it wasn't very good).  I'm sure we will get lots of cute ones with Robby and the dogs in the next year.

Anyway, here are some cute pictures of our babies:

Favorite Christmas Decoration

I love Christmas decorations of all kinds.  In fact, it makes my heart a little sad to be taking down my decorations this week.  But one specific "decoration" that I leave up long after Christmas is over is this:
I absolutely adore Christmas cards, ESPECIALLY ones with pictures!  Usually around the middle of January, I take down the regular cards and I trim up the photo cards to remove the Christmas portions of the cards, leaving just the photos.

We did two Christmas cards this year.  The majority of the people we sent cards to received this one:
The other card we sent out I didn't scan before I sent them all out (dumb me!  In fact, if anyone received the other card and wouldn't mind scanning it and emailing it to me that would be just great!!) but it just had the picture of us at Tim's graduation (the top picture).

When I lived in Siloam Springs, I helped with the childcare at First Baptist.  I loved those kids and I love getting cards from their parents every year to see how much they have grown from year to year.  I'm amazed that we have been gone 4 1/2 years and some of the ones who were babies when we left are kids now!!  It's just crazy how time flies!

Because Daddy needs a bag, too...

I surprised Tim a couple of weeks ago with his own diaper bag.  It's a Diaper Dudes bag and he really likes it!  I thought he might be more apt to grab this than my black patent leather diaper bag!  :-)
(this one was taken at night with my phone, sorry it's so blurry!)
I love how it has a little checklist on the inside flap.  So if he ever has to pack the bag by himself he should be able to remember the most important things!

I can't wait to fill it for him with diapers, wipes, and all kinds of things he will need for his outings with Robby!

Christmas 2010

This year, Tim's parents and sister came up to spend Christmas with us.  I was so glad Tim was able to take off Christmas Eve and he was off the entire weekend - not a single page!!  That doesn't even happen on a normal weekend, much less a holiday weekend!  It was a nice time.  I warned everyone ahead of time I wasn't planning on the meals I was going to cook because I didn't want to wear myself out (I was so proud of myself!), so we went out to eat most meals except on Christmas day and Sunday night.  Tim pretty much took care of Christmas dinner and my sister-in-law made dinner Sunday night.  I did make pies, but that wasn't a big deal!

Here are a few pictures from this weekend.  We didn't end up taking very many.  I will have to try to get some from my in-laws because I think they were taking more pictures than we were!

We opened a few presents early (it wouldn't be one of our Christmases if we didn't!).  This is my father-in-law opening the watch we got him.
My mother-in-law also was able to open her gift from us early.  It was a Talbots gift card so she actually was able to go shopping on Friday and all those white boxes are what she got!
Leo could smell his stocking and he was ready to dig into it!
FINALLY!  :-)
Luke thought Annie was a great pillow!
Christmas dinner!  Tim did a wonderful job!  (Here is my puffy face I was talking about in the earlier post!)
Yummy ham!

We had a wonderful Christmas and are excited about what the next month has in store for us!

(Belated) Merry Christmas from the Weigles!

We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend it with cherished loved ones!

35/36 weeks

I'm sorry I haven't posted in a little while.  I think it's funny that we sent out Christmas cards with our blog address on them but if any of those who haven't followed our blog in the past checked it after they received their card all they have seen has been my swollen feet!  How horrible!!  We had a wonderful Christmas and I will post about that later.  For now, here are some pregnancy highlights!
35 weeks:
36 weeks:

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 36 weeks
Size of Baby: 22 inches long and about 6.5 lbs, about the size of a watermelon
Maternity Clothes: yes!  but i'm much more comfortable in just lounge pants and Tim's shirts.  If i have to wear jeans, I have to make sure Tim is home to help me put them on because I can't get them on since Robby is so low and I can't lift my legs high enough to get them in the leg holes!!  Stretchy pants are my friend!
Gender: precious boy!
Movement: His movements are slower now.  Instead of him kicking, he just sticks his foot out.  I can move it around a little and play with him!  It's so sweet!  Usually he will stop when Tim puts his hand on me, but the past few days he has kept it up so Tim has felt him.
Sleep: It's usually an every other night kind of thing on my sleep.  One night I will sleep so well and the next I won't be able to get comfortable and will have to go to the couch.
Symptoms: I have reached the puffy face stage.  The 36 week picture above was taken on Thursday night and when we took pictures on Christmas day, my face was HUGE!  I was amazed at the change in such a short amount of time.  I'm also suffering from carpel tunnel.  It's occurring in both hands but lingering effects are only in my left hand.  I usually wake up every 30-45 minutes at night with one or both of my hands asleep but i haven't had feeling in 3 of my fingers on my left hand for about 4 or 5 days now.  I will be very glad to get that back!
Food Cravings/Aversions: I will eat anything.  I am going to miss not having to worry about the consequences of eating whatever I want!  It will be quite to shock to transition back to my healthier diet.
What I am Looking Forward To: My next appointment!  At my last one I was already beginning to progress a little, so I can't wait to see if I have any further!  Also, this week, I plan on getting the carseat installed in my car and inspected by TxDOT.  I have a few more loads of baby clothes to wash up, but after that's done we are literally just waiting for him to arrive!

Oh the feet!

I took this picture and sent it to Mandy this weekend.  I was a little shocked when I woke up to my feet looking like this Sunday morning.  I thought the swelling from Saturday would have gone down overnight.
But, like I've said, I'm thankful to have made it to 34 weeks without any major feet and hand swelling!

34 Weeks

Oh my gosh, 34 weeks!  I really can't believe it!!

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 34 weeks
Size of Baby: 22 inches long and about 5.5 lbs, about the size of a large cantaloupe
Maternity Clothes: yes, but at this point I'm just wearing lounge pants and Tim's t-shirts when I'm at the house because it's such a hassle to fit into things!!
Gender: precious boy!
Movement: His movements are slower now.  Instead of him kicking, he just sticks his foot out.  I can move it around a little and play with him!  It's so sweet!
Sleep: The last few days I've actually had to get up several times to go to the bathroom in the night so I haven't been sleeping too deeply.
Symptoms: Robby dropped on Thursday night so I'm having some different symptoms now.  I'm kind of crampy and my lower back hurts more.  Also, my hands and feet have become very swollen (I'm just glad to have made it this long with out any swelling issues!!).  My hands are going numb, mainly my left hand.  So that's a bit annoying!  It is nice to be able to feel my ribs and breath deeply again!!  I wasn't carrying him very high anyway, but just the bit lower that he is now makes a big difference.
Food Cravings/Aversions: anything!
What I am Looking Forward To: CHRISTMAS!!

33 Weeks

Pregnancy Highlights:
How Far Along: 33 weeks
Size of Baby: 19-22 inches long and about 4.9 lbs, about the size of a pineapple
Maternity Clothes: yes, but still able to squeeze into some regular tops and lounge pants.  Tim's clothes are much more comfortable though!
Gender: precious boy!
Movement: Still lots of movement, but it's more big movements rather than the small kicks and punches I was feeling.  He will slowly roll across my belly or just stick his foot out for a while!  It's so fun to experience!!
Sleep: I am beginning to have some issues with sleep, only because I can't get very comfortable.  Either my back or my stomach hurts no matter how I lay.  So last night I just got up and went to the couch for a little while, then got some stuff done around the house.
Symptoms: I'm extremely tired.  Last week I was taking about 3 naps a day, but the past few days I've been able to just take one or so.
Food Cravings/Aversions: anything!
What I am Looking Forward To: Hopefully tomorrow if Tim gets off early we are going to go tour the hospital where we will deliver.  This Saturday, Catie and I are taking a breastfeeding class together.  The dads-to-be were going to take the "Daddy Bootcamp" class also but Tim had to work.  We got some things done in the nursery yesterday so it's a bit more organized and ready for Robby.  If any of you have some tips or last minute things we should be sure to do or have before he gets here, please let me know!  I keep thinking there has to be somethings we are missing, but can't really think of anything in particular!

Thanksgiving 2010

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Ryan, Natalie, and Graham.  They arrived a little before dinner time Thursday and after a near disastrous gravy situation, we finally ate around 6:30.  We also celebrated Christmas while they were here.  I was amazed at how quickly Graham figured out the toy we got him.  He's such a sweetie!

Tim brined the turkey overnight then basted it with a little olive oil, sea salt, and pepper.

 It turned out great!
 As soon as they arrived

Graham had to test out Annie's steps when he got inside
He wasn't afraid at all and made it almost to the top all by himself

Everything is a drum for Graham, so he loved the wooden part of our ottoman!
