Oh poor boy! tori used to do this to her nose as well when she went through the "breaking out of my kennel phase." Do you feed leo in his kennel and give him treats in there throughout the day when you're home? We do that and it helped her get over the break out of the kennel phase... also pet smart has kennels that are re-enforced for dogs that try to escape they are more expensive, but totally worth the peace of mind!
