Happy Thanksgiving!

I have so much to be thankful for this year!  I thought I would list just a few of them:

-Tim being done with school and everything working out for him to have a "temporary" job until we move
-Our little man who we will get to meet in 8 weeks or less!
-Our families who are always supportive of us and love us
-My being able to be a stay-at-home wife, and soon mom
-My brother, sister-in-law, and nephew who are on the road right now on their way to see us!
-Good health, for the most part, for all of our family
-My wonderful husband that I somehow fall more in love with everyday
-Our troops and their families who sacrifice so much in order to keep all of us safe here at home
-Our loving Savior who gave His life so we can live eternally with Him!

10. Upcoming trip
I'm leaving tomorrow to go see this sweetie!!

I'm also going to see my brother and sister-in-law.

Then next week I will be seeing my parents.  I'm very excited to get to see my wonderful family!

11. Annie's health

Annie is doing much much better!  Other than having to peepee every 30 minutes (even at night) due to all the fluids that were put into her, she is doing great.  We all went out in the backyard this afternoon and she was walking around great!  She was still a little wobbly, but is getting stronger by the day.  She lost a ton of muscle in her back legs just in the short amount of time she wasn't able to walk so it will be a process getting it back.

12. Healthy pregnancy

I am so blessed to have had such an uneventful and easy pregnancy for this first half.  Robby is moving around and kicking like crazy.  We are so thankful that he is so healthy and active!

Thankful Thursday

7. Family
We both have such supportive and loving families (immediate and extended) and we could never express to all of them how thankful we are.  We love getting to go visit everyone and especially love when they come visit us!  It was very nice to move away after we got married so we could start our lives together just the 2 of us without constant input or "drop-ins" from family, but it would have been nicer to live closer to everyone than we have been.

8. Our Home
I'm not specifically talking about the house we live in, although I'm very grateful for it, but specifically for how we have made each of the 3 places we have lived in since moving to Amarillo a home.  When we lived in the apartment it was a little harder, but in both houses it has been nice to put our hearts into making them feel like home.  The main thing I have always wanted in our place of residence was for everyone who came over to feel welcome, comfortable and totally at home.  I am so blessed that it is now my full time job to make our house a home!

9. Pregnancy Timing
I have told Tim over and over again how thankful I am that I am not majorly pregnant during the hot summer months!  I definitely love winter and the cold weather so much more than the heat.  My hands and feet would already swell up so much in the summer, I'm just glad that I don't have to worry about it being all that worse because of the heat.  Now I know by the time I'm 9 months pregnant I'm going to be ready to get this baby out of me, but at least it won't be because it's 110 degrees outside and I can't walk because my feet are two volleyballs!!

Thankful Thursday (on Friday!)

I'm sorry, I was busy yesterday and didn't have the chance to post my "Thankful Thursday" entry! So here it is, a day late.

4. Tim's job

I don't have a picture of the pharmacy where he is working, but I am so grateful that God provided this opportunity for him. He had actually been offered to become the pharmacist and later buy the pharmacy from the man who currently owns it during his last year in school. But both of us were hesitant for a few reasons. We had already pursued and prayed about joining the military and truly believed that was where God was leading us. Also, Borger is a small town. While there are some cute shops and nice people there, we really want our children to be raised in a larger place. We also feel strongly about our children attending a Christian school, which is unavailable there. Another drawback was that although it would have been a financially lucrative decision, the time Tim would have to spend at the pharmacy and the stress that would go along with owning a business is not what we wanted for our family. BUT, it has been a great job for Tim to work temporarily. He loves all the different things he gets to do besides just "counting pills", like when he worked at CVS. When we found out we wouldn't be moving to San Antonio this June, everything just fell into place for Tim to work there until he leaves for officer training.

5. Our little Weiglet

Although this little stinker was a surprise, we could not be more thankful for him or her. I can't express to y'all how shocked I was when I found out we had a little one on the way, but ever since that day, my thoughts and plans for the future have completely changed. It's no longer about the two of us but the three of us! And I love that change!

6. Our marriage

This is not a repeat of #1 from last week, although it wouldn't be possible without him! But I'm specifically thankful for how God has grown and changed our relationship over the last 4 years. I'm also thankful for the way it has stayed the same. You see some couples who have been married for several years and they are practically just roommates. I'm so glad that we still treat each other the same way we did when we were dating and first married. Tim and I have both been told recently "It sounds like you've been married for just 6 months". I take that as a huge compliment and hope we can keep that up even after we add some kiddos in the mix!

Thankful Thursday

I thought I would join in with some fellow bloggers and do "Thankful Thursday". I have really been realizing lately just how much I have to be thankful for. So each Thursday, I'm going to list 3 things that I'm thankful for, and I'm going to try my best not to repeat myself!

1) This man:

I have been so blessed by Tim. He is not only a wonderful husband but he is my absolute best friend. I talk to him about everything and he is the most supportive person. I know he is going to be an excellent father because he is so caring and understanding!

2) These stinkers:

These two have been my babies for the last 3 years and I have loved it. They cheer me up when I am sad and make me feel like the most exciting person when I come home. Plus, they are so cute to just look at!!

3) My life:

I don't have a picture for this one, but I came to a realization the other day. I'm living my dream! Since I was a little girl, I knew I wanted to be a wife and a stay-at-home mom. From the time Tim and I were dating, we both agreed that we would make that happen. Now, after 4 years of working and juggling all of my other duties, I am blessed to be able to be at home full time. Tim is working hard to provide for us and our little Weiglet. We are going to have to make plenty of sacrifices down the road in order to keep me at home, but we both know it is well worth it.

Obviously, these are not the only things I'm thankful for, but this is just the beginning. I'm excited to add to this list each week. Sometime it might be large, broad things that I list, and sometimes it might be silly things that no one else will understand, but that are important to me at that time.
